Skinner for braving the rain for the WLP Garden open day on 28th October. 51 stalwarts visited despite the weather and £173 was raised for the National Garden Scheme. The trees have looked absolutely magnificent this past few weeks. [pic bottom left].

we are entering during this awards season include the 2007 Hotel Marketing Awards and the Hotel Reservation Service Hotel Excellence Awards. are arriving any day, including WLP Special Events 2008, WLP Wedding inserts for 2008+, WLP Food and Drink menu for Autumn07/Winter 08. Work is continuing on BH Special Events 2008 and WLP Business
– naturally, Celebrations – naturally and the new WLP tariff.
Estates news
this month includes the finishing off of the still room at BH, new planting on the terrace at BH, new artwork on the walls there too. At WLP, Room 16 has been completed as a lovely executive double room, the management offices have been improved, and work has started on Room 11. Schemes to follow at WLP this winter include 71, 45, 12 and 15 as we slowly modernise our rooms here.
And finally…
…the BH extension scheduled for summer 08 continues to plan with an aim to appoint a contractor before Christmas. The steel structure for the top floor at the hotel will be built prior to the arrival of the bedroom pods. In all, we will have 19 new rooms including 3 gorgeous suites, and a residents gym/sauna/jacuzzi area.
