Congratulations

…To all at Beales Hotels on the fantastic news that we have been awarded the Overall Winners trophy in the National Sustainable City Awards beating along the way the likes of Sainsbury’s, Royal Mail and other large organisations. At a wonderful ceremony in a packed Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House, the Lord Mayor spoke of the importance of sustainability to UK business. However, we never thought for a moment that we would walk away with the Winners Trophy when up against all the big companies.
…Our entry focussed on our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint through the introduction of new boiler technology, our focus on local food and small suppliers, the constant tree planting in the Beale Arboretum at WLP, and the very fact of still being here as an intact family business, some 239 years later – the ultimate in sustainability! Pictured here is the Founder and Director of Fair Trade, Harriet Lamb awarding the prize to Beverley Doidge, David Seward and Andrew Beale [pic top left]
…To Dagmar Dvorackova, promoted at BH to Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager.
…To Kieran Wheeler who was the BH Champion of the quarter Oct/Dec 07 [pic top right].
…To John Keane, Clare Markham, Lucy Plant, Daniel Healey, Stephen Sims, Richard Chmiel, Adam Brooks, Matthew Croxford, Anthony Browning, Dawn Brumwell, Michelle Ricks, Lauren Pryor, Aimie Chatfield on the presentation of their certificates of completion of the Blue Mountain and Beales Hotel Leadership course certificates – all seen here with Theresa Dickinson of Blue Mountain, David Seward, Callum Kennedy and Andrew Beale after a gala celebratory dinner at Beales Hotel [pic bottom right]

Farewell

to Michelle Ricks [pic left] after 8 years in the Reception Team at WLP. Michelle, you will be hugely
missed by all our staff and guests as you move to new pastures and although we wish you all the best in your new role, please know that if you ever want to re-join the team at WLP you will be forever welcome.

Aimie Chatfield [pic middle] has taken on the additional role of BH HR Manager and Lauren Pryor [pic right] has moved to BH in her role as Business Development Manager. Our congratulations go to both of them.

We have not been inundated with bookings yet, but the word is getting out there.
