Farewell to

At a gala dinner at West Lodge Park to say goodbye to all these loyal shareholders of Beale’s, it was noted that assembled in the room were 1224 years of association with this wonderful company. Sales and Marketing news
…Although sales remain depressed generally, the best ever week at WLP in May was the result of three marquee weddings at the hotel. Here are some pics of the Friday marquee wedding showing how beautifully these marquees look in the wonderful grounds at WLP. [top pics]
…Fantastic offers continue for our guests including Spring and Summer 2 for 1 bedroom offer – stay on a Saturday night and get the Friday or Sunday free of charge. Also a Stay late on Sunday offer, with a late checkout at 6pm if our guests take Sunday lunch. [bottom left pic]
…Special events this month include a World Cup Theme wine tasting at BH on June 10th, a jazz night at WLP on June 11th, and Fathers Day lunches at both hotels on June 20th. [Clark Doidge bottom right pic]
Estates news
…Despite very heavy rain, 92 people braved the conditions to attend the May Garden Open day at West Lodge Park, and £368 was raised towards the National Garden Scheme charities. [left pic] The arboretum is running currently about a month behind due to the lateness of the spring season and the harsh winter. However this has been to the benefit of the trees which are looking magnificent after a longer than usual hibernation!
…Bedroom 43 is almost completed at WLP – a replica to the beautiful Bedroom 12 one floor below [right pic]
…Wifi is now completed and fully up and running in both WLP and BH
And finally…
…An exciting scheme to refurbish the Ladies WC at WLP has taken shape with a start date of July 19th. This will involve major works stripping out this area, and remodelling it to give us a ladies cloakroom area truly fit for the 21st century. During the 5 weeks period of works, we will have temporary posh loos next to the entrance to the hotel!
