Congratulations…
…to Bruce Govia, Malvina Stankiewicz, Emrys Jones, Agnieska Orzlowska [top left], all of Beales Hotel, for passing their Level 2 certificate in Food Hygiene. All are pictured here [middle row] with their certificates and with Chris Hall and Andrew Beale. Special mention should be made about Malvina and Agnieska who took the testing exam in their second language, and still passed with flying colours! [pics top left]
…to Chris Hall and all the team at Beales Hotel following the recent overnight visit by the AA – we have retained our four star status, retained our two AA rosettes, and gained a quality rating for all aspects of our service of 78% making us the second highest rated four star hotel in Hertfordshire, beaten only by West Lodge Park!
…to Emma Perryment, winner of the Welwyn Hatfield Times prize draw for a weekend away at Beales Hotel, which she enjoyed greatly with her husband [pic top middle]
…to Beales Hotels, winners of the Oaklands College Employer of the Year awards for 2009! In the citation for the award, they mentioned that “Beales are very committed to all aspects of staff welfare and development. They promote training with enthusiasm and are very involved with Oaklands to deliver their training”.
…to Yioda Joannou, Esther Smith, Emily Banks, Abi Earl, Carolyn Mills and Aimie Chatfield for not falling off their horses at the recently organised fam trip to the Enfield Equestrian Centre in Trent Park. Within no time at all, everyone went from walking to rising trot. Next stop the Grand National perhaps? [pic bottom]
…to David Seward and David McIntyre who have secured a contract with NFS Hospitality for a new front of house computer system for West Lodge Park – the current system was installed by Grevile Bridge in 1988/9 and seems prehistoric in comparison!
Welcome!

to Ann Widdecombe who spoke at a packed Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce lunch at Beales Hotel, having failed in her bid to become Speaker the day before. However it didn’t put her off giving a typically robust performance challenging every aspect of the politically correct society we live in [pic right]
And finally…
more super press coverage with a complete article on the launch of the Mary Beale Restaurant at WLP (check out the Press page of www.bealeshotels.co.uk), and a new amazingly detailed online shop on the web site where one can buy everything from a place at a Christmas party night or special event at the hotels, to a WLP bathrobe or history book.
