Estates News

Bedroom 71 at WLP has received a makeover with a newly centred double bed, newly moved headboard and lights, new bedside tables, new wallpaper at the head of the bed, and a repaint. It looks really terrific now ! [top left pic]

Bedroom 63 at WLP has had a completely new bathroom installed [top middle]. A lovely room at the end of the corridor with beautiful views from the window [top right pic].

Sad news with the toppling of the top half of our beautiful Taxodium distichum (Swamp cypress) in the October St Jude’s storm. [bottom left pic]

Better news with the planting of 50 Sequoiadendron giganteum (Giant redwood) to commemorate 50 years of the Beale Arboretum at WLP. [bottom right pic]

Food, Beverage & Events News

The Christmas concert dinner on Sunday 15th December at WLP features John Morgan (Baritone), Robin Colvill (Piano) and Kim Colvill (Piano and Narration) [left pic] with a Christmas Music Box programme featuring Christmas readings and poems, and music by Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Verdi and Gershwin.

Christmas restaurant menus are now launched at both hotels for this festive season featuring local Turkey, local Christmas pudding, crackers, and wonderful Christmas decorations [WLP tree middle pic & BH Tree right pic]

Christmas Gala nights at WLP & Christmas Party Nights at BH still have some places available!

There are also spaces available for Christmas Eve Dinner at WLP, Boxing Day lunch at WLP, Boxing Day lunch at BH, New Year’s Eve at BH and New Year’s Day lunch at WLP!
