The new 2015 WLP Special Events programme is now launched, new in 2015 is a Jazz/swing evening in August, a Hertfordshire gourmet evening in September, as well as three fantastic concerts (woodwind quartet, piano and harp quartet!).
Christmas and New Year is fast filling up at both hotels, with several dates sold out, and many more booked overall than in previous years. Perhaps the recession is coming to an end?
New webcams are now live on the WLP site at

The Beale Arboretum NGS Garden Open Day on 26th October welcomed 148 visitors to admire some beautiful autumn colours. Thanks to Trevor Beale, Paul Akers, Grant Cook, Marion Taylor, and Carolyn Mills for hosting all our visitors.
Nespresso coffee machines have been purchased for theWLP Executive bedrooms 3, 7, 10, 11, 12, 16, 21, 32, 33, 36, 46, 57, 59, 61, 70. This latest batch means that all the Executive, Luxury and Four Poster bedrooms in the company now have these machines.
Professional carpet cleaning has continued at WLP and BH, with dozens of bedrooms now completed, in addition to bar chair cleaning at WLP and restaurant chair cleaning at BH.
New deluxe mattress toppers have gone into all WLP Chestnut Lodge luxury bedrooms.
The Estates team are blitzing the kitchen and back of house areas at WLP following a slightly disappointing EHO inspection at WLP.

Not long now until the Bonfire night at WLP, then before we know it the Christmas season will be upon us with a wide array of party nights, lunches, a Christmas concert on 14th December (see pic right), and special events over the Christmas period. Book now if you haven’t already done so.
New Food and Drink menus are now live at WLP and BH for the autumn and winter season, featuring a variety of new menu items, and some reduced prices on wines.

Three new chairs have been delivered to each of WLP bedrooms 8, 17, 26 and 29.[To the right]
Three large trees have been cut down at BH – pictured here is tree feller Andy Gardener inside the almost hollow poplar on the Buckland Deck.
New ceiling lighting has been installed in WLP bedrooms 84, 85, and 86.
New deluxe mattress toppers have gone into all WLP Chestnut Lodge luxury bedrooms.
Sky Sports 5 is now live in all 112 Beales Hotels bedrooms !

Look out for October and November events such as the Bridge Quartet concert dinner at WLP on 17th October, the Murder Mystery evening at WLP on Halloween Night 31st October, and the Bonfire Night dinner dance and fireworks on the 7th November.
A reminder too that Christmas is almost upon us again, and that places are filling up for the party nights [WLP] [BH] at both hotels, as well as for lunch on Christmas Day [WLP] [BH] and the dinner dances on New Year’s Eve [WLP] [BH] at both hotels.
