In Memoriam
The shockingly unexpected death of Pat Skinner (WLP Banqueting) has been announced. Pat worked at WLP from 1990 for 22 years until her retirement earlier this year, and was much loved and admired by hotel guests and colleagues. She will be hugely missed by all. [pic right]
Estates News
New solid oak headboards have been completed in WLP bedrooms 80, 81, 82, 83, 84 and 86. It is remarkable how the introduction of a new wooden headboard to replace an old upholstered one changes the look of a room for the better. [left & middle pics]
The WLP gardens team have won the Gold Medal in Enfield in Bloom 2012 (again). Congratulations to Paul Baynes, Andrew Swales, Grant Cook and Paul Akers [right pic]

Look out for the next WLP concert on Friday 12th October starring the talented New Zealander Ben Baker.
And a Murder Mystery evening at WLP on Friday 19th October promises to be great fun, combining delicious food, wonderful wine, and a whodunnit in the historic setting of this country house hotel.
